It’s the break post, girl.

28 Dec

All right so I’m going on a break until Jan 25th. Why? I’ll tell you why:

  • That’s when my English class ends, so I won’t have as much homework
  • I need to get my !@#$ together (how to manage my time better, etc.)
  • I’m trying to come up with a logo and some music for the blog
  • And !@#$ it, I just need a break.

So peace and chicken grease.

One Size Fits All.

23 Dec

Anyone who’s ever believed that that statement was true is out of their bleepin’ mind.

But I like Terry Richardson on the whole thing. He shot Jacqueline Joblonski (size hungry) and Crystal Renn (size healthy) in the same outfits for a photoshoot for V Magazine. They both look amazing and that’s what’s interesting about this because most people think your size defines your beauty. Untrue. You’re just as beautiful (if not more beautiful) than the skinny bitch. Lol.

IF IT’S BRIGHT ENOUGH, TIGHT ENOUGH, OR EYE-POPPINGLY PRINTED ENOUGH, ODDS ARE IT’LL WORK ON ANY FIGURE. CRYSTAL RENN, MODEL AND AUTHOR OF HUNGRY, AND JACQUELYN JABLONSKI, SPRING’S NEW STAR, SHOW OFF THE SEASON’S MOST SIZZLING LOOKS.

But you put less out.

Had to do a double take on this one. Lol. UK artist, Benedict Radcliffe, created this full-scale Nike Air Max wire sculpture seen during the Dizzee Rascal Air Max 90 launch at Nike Sportswear’s 1948 space. So uh yeah, enjoy.

Wrist Full of Paper.

Electronic paper that is. Lls. French designer, Julien Bergignant created the Tima, a concept watch that utilizes electronic paper. It can simultaneously display both digital as well as analog time. The watch can also display two differnet time zones. Pretty neat. Wonder how much it’d cost..

Gnädinger Architects finished the Otto Block Building. So okay it’s nap time for me but I decided to get some blogging in so enjoy this cuz I’m not summarizing it (cuz you were really going to read it anyways). I do like it by the way, don’t get the wrong impression; just enjoy it.

The building was designed for the Otto Bock Health Care company, a world leader in prosthetics and orthotics. The organic-dynamic design of the six-storey building is based on the principles of nature – as a model of harmony between technology and people. The facade bands have modeled the structure of muscle fibers that encircle the building structure in soft form. The “soft” appearance, combined with a unique facade media production, is an open, friendly and accessible institution, and thus contributes to the image building of the company.

Paper Dreams

13 Dec

You can’t nessicarily wear these but they’re still worth mention. Mathieu Missiaen and Julien Morin of Le Creative Sweatshop, a French design firm, made these paper shoes with components that build on one another like a crystal-growing kit.

“Don’t make me light my butt!”

I’ve been looking forward to this ever since I heard Disney was making a black princess movie . You’ve probably heard about the controversy surrounding The Princess and the Frog (about how she happens to have a perm, or how the prince isn’t black, or how it’s set in New Orleans) but once you see the movie all that seems irrelevant. The movie is about how a prince named Naveen from Maldonia is transformed into a frog by the evil scheming voodoo magician, The Shadow Man. The frog prince mistakes a girl named Tiana for a princess and has her kiss him to break the spell. However, the kiss doesn’t break the spell, but instead turns Tiana into a frog as well. Together, the two of them must reach the good voodoo priestess of the Bayou, Mama Odie, while befriending a trumpet-playing alligator and a hopelessly romantic firefly along the way.

Everything fom the plot to the music to the characters are adorable. Oh yeah, without giving to much away, Raymond & Evangeline Forever! (oh that made me tear up) Just go see it.
