…I’m not in the best of moods but whatever life goes on

So I can’t really write clever statements right now so I’m gonna let SLAMXHYPE do it for me:

Having previewed this project between Zoltar and Nike Sportswear we can give you a great insight to this amazing collage of creative theatrics. The exhibition was part of the Nike Stadium initiative, with these images and this video piece being shot around London. This captivating piece of work has an overwhelming appeal while celebrating the World Cup in a unique way featuring five “warriors” representing South Korea, USA, Netherlands, Portugal and Brazil.

“When the anthropological technicians of the 25th century discovered the most important architectural relic of the 21st century in north Old Londinium, all experts were baffled at the relevance of this stadium saturated in emotion and glory. Upon further rigorous subatomic analysis and clone replication scenarios they made some startling discoveries about the 21st century’s truly global, spiritual phenomena.

The football temples—these open-air amphitheatres were used for mass gatherings, broadcast to every corner of the globe. These pantheons of the ancients, channelled human emotions – faith, belief and hope into the hope of the grail; the coming together of nations and emerging as the champions of the world.

The congregation met in the time honoured clash between good and evil, the congregation’s tribal colours a testament to the devotion of their choosing. This phenomena crossed global political and social boundaries, in the city of Rangoon, monks remains have been found whose devotion was clearly marked by the Brazilian shirt he was clutching.

Like the earth itself, the focus of spiritual nirvana was a pitch of green. On its altar was a football. While engaged in the mass ritual of the game, the faithful would emerge themselves in the full emotional and psychological rollercoaster. Ecstasy, sorrow, joy, frustration, pain and victory were all stops on the intercity to glory.

Further examination revealed that within these highly organised and emotional gatherings were spiritual guides who acted as a human catalyst between the Gods of victory and football. These were the Shaman, united under the swoosh and this is their story. Every four years they would meet to re-enact the tournament of the ages, with only one emerging victorious”.

Yup yup enjoy lol

Couldn’t pass on this one

Take a look see at these Native American inspired Mosley Tribes Lyndel frames designed by graphic designer and self-taught jeweler, Jenny Dayco. And uhh I read somewhere that tribal patterns are “in” so that’s a plus. But it seems to me that the beads would fall off eventually but hey they’re cute so who cares? You can get this limited edition piece at Oliver People’s Sunset, in Soho and select stores nationwide in July. Go get you some.

Starting off on the right foot

Mkay so I tried to come up with this beautiful, poetic way to introduce you to this jewlery but nope. My ideas aren’t flowing proper so I’m gonna let The Lipstick Diaries tell you:

Charles Albert’s beautifully bold and edgy necklaces, cuffs, rings and bracelets, have been dazzling editors and stylists. The Lookbook Collection has been featured in numerous magazines such as Allure, Essence and Genlux and have been worn at Red Carpet events. Celebrity followers of Charles Albert include Patti LaBelle, Adam Lambert, Vivica A. Fox, Niecy Nash and Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos, just to name a few. All pieces are meticulously handcrafted and attract attention for their unabashed, larger-than-life attitude. We are well on the way to becoming a well known brand in the fashion industry.

Any of you 90s babies remember that show Aahh! Real Monsters!? Damn I miss old school Nick..

But on to the point: I’ve been in love with things that drip lately. So in honor of that, check out this neat lamp.

Kyouei Design is small firm based out of Shizouka City, Japan which is about 2 ours West of Tokyo. They have a big body of products that they’ve created and distribute, a lot of you will remember this Umbrella Pot that waters a small plant at the base through runoff from the umbrella. But I’m really enjoying this weird liquid collection they have going on.

First is the Liquid Lamp which looks like a lampshade that has started to melt from the inside, creating a small puddle of red metal at the base. I wonder if that extra splotch comes along with it? Then there’s the liquid bookmark which looks like your bookmark is melting inside your book. Each of these silicon bookmarks are handmade, so no two are alike. Is drippy the new black?

…but I still like the design of the Vodaphone Head Office in Portugal designed by architects José António Barbosa and Pedro Guimarães of Barbosa Guimarães Arquitectos. It’s beautiful and futuristic.
