Alright so

…I’m not in the best of moods but whatever life goes on

So I can’t really write clever statements right now so I’m gonna let SLAMXHYPE do it for me:

Having previewed this project between Zoltar and Nike Sportswear we can give you a great insight to this amazing collage of creative theatrics. The exhibition was part of the Nike Stadium initiative, with these images and this video piece being shot around London. This captivating piece of work has an overwhelming appeal while celebrating the World Cup in a unique way featuring five “warriors” representing South Korea, USA, Netherlands, Portugal and Brazil.

“When the anthropological technicians of the 25th century discovered the most important architectural relic of the 21st century in north Old Londinium, all experts were baffled at the relevance of this stadium saturated in emotion and glory. Upon further rigorous subatomic analysis and clone replication scenarios they made some startling discoveries about the 21st century’s truly global, spiritual phenomena.

The football temples—these open-air amphitheatres were used for mass gatherings, broadcast to every corner of the globe. These pantheons of the ancients, channelled human emotions – faith, belief and hope into the hope of the grail; the coming together of nations and emerging as the champions of the world.

The congregation met in the time honoured clash between good and evil, the congregation’s tribal colours a testament to the devotion of their choosing. This phenomena crossed global political and social boundaries, in the city of Rangoon, monks remains have been found whose devotion was clearly marked by the Brazilian shirt he was clutching.

Like the earth itself, the focus of spiritual nirvana was a pitch of green. On its altar was a football. While engaged in the mass ritual of the game, the faithful would emerge themselves in the full emotional and psychological rollercoaster. Ecstasy, sorrow, joy, frustration, pain and victory were all stops on the intercity to glory.

Further examination revealed that within these highly organised and emotional gatherings were spiritual guides who acted as a human catalyst between the Gods of victory and football. These were the Shaman, united under the swoosh and this is their story. Every four years they would meet to re-enact the tournament of the ages, with only one emerging victorious”.

Yup yup enjoy lol

Couldn’t pass on this one

I like anime as much as the next person but damn..Nicki Minaj just had to go and !@#$ it up for me.

This is just wrong all over. FAIL. I appreciate her attempt at creativity on the cover of Vibe Magazine but nooo just no.

However, I did find a pic of her in this issuse I actually approve of.
Ch-ch-check it out:

One Size Fits All.

23 Dec

Anyone who’s ever believed that that statement was true is out of their bleepin’ mind.

But I like Terry Richardson on the whole thing. He shot Jacqueline Joblonski (size hungry) and Crystal Renn (size healthy) in the same outfits for a photoshoot for V Magazine. They both look amazing and that’s what’s interesting about this because most people think your size defines your beauty. Untrue. You’re just as beautiful (if not more beautiful) than the skinny bitch. Lol.

IF IT’S BRIGHT ENOUGH, TIGHT ENOUGH, OR EYE-POPPINGLY PRINTED ENOUGH, ODDS ARE IT’LL WORK ON ANY FIGURE. CRYSTAL RENN, MODEL AND AUTHOR OF HUNGRY, AND JACQUELYN JABLONSKI, SPRING’S NEW STAR, SHOW OFF THE SEASON’S MOST SIZZLING LOOKS.

When I ever do have kids…

I want them all to be multi-racial, smart, obedient, fashion forward little brats.

We Don’t Need No Education shot by Ryan McGinley shows off mini-fashionistas struttin’ their stuff in the studio in doll-part crowns, mommy sized heels and shirts that doubles as dresses.

I WANT THEM!

Welcome to Africa

I love the colors and patterns but I’m pretty sure tribe members didn’t wear heels or lepoard print pants. Lol.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall..

16 Nov

RAndom international hosted the designtransfer of the UDK Berlin. One of Hannes Koch’s projects, Study For a Mirror, is  the next generation of their other piece called A Study Of Three Mirrors.

Study For A Mirror is a ‘temporary light painting’. Face recognition technology detects when the viewer is standing in front of the work and then directly paints the onlookers image in light. The Image then gradually fades. Evectively a mirror this work offers the ultimate immediate, yet ephemeral, contemporary portrait.

Ganster, ain’t it? Lol. Chris O’Shea, along with openFrameworks and openCV wrote the software.

Hey! You’re cool.

So I should be reading The Great Gatsby but instead I’m blogging, texting and watching tv. I’m a wonderful student.

But aaaanyways, Herring & Herring, for Surface Magazine’s Avant Guardian issuse, photographed a Gucci styled fashion story.  Once again, not much to say…but it’s still pretty cool. Yall know I like bright, luminous things.

At first I was kinda skeptical..

I mean I read enough at school so when I heard about this I was just like “uhhhh…” but Kanye‘s new book, Glow in the Dark, is a picture book! Yes! Lol. It’s 288 pages filled with 400 pictures, a CD with unreleased music and an interview.

Along with on stage and behind-the-scenes shots, the book includes conceptual sketches by West, costume designs, and stage models. The book comes with an audio CD featuring the previously unreleased live instrumentals for Hey Mama, Touch the Sky, Jesus Walks and I Wonder, as well as an interview with tour collaborator Spike Jonze.

Kanye, wether you think he’s and asshole or deserved the #4 spot on MTV’s Hottest MCs List, does some pretty creative stuff so I’m looking forward to flipping through it in my local Barnes and Nobles store because $50 is a little to expensive for me. The book is set to release this month; you can pre-order it on Amazon.
