…I’m not in the best of moods but whatever life goes on

So I can’t really write clever statements right now so I’m gonna let SLAMXHYPE do it for me:

Having previewed this project between Zoltar and Nike Sportswear we can give you a great insight to this amazing collage of creative theatrics. The exhibition was part of the Nike Stadium initiative, with these images and this video piece being shot around London. This captivating piece of work has an overwhelming appeal while celebrating the World Cup in a unique way featuring five “warriors” representing South Korea, USA, Netherlands, Portugal and Brazil.

“When the anthropological technicians of the 25th century discovered the most important architectural relic of the 21st century in north Old Londinium, all experts were baffled at the relevance of this stadium saturated in emotion and glory. Upon further rigorous subatomic analysis and clone replication scenarios they made some startling discoveries about the 21st century’s truly global, spiritual phenomena.

The football temples—these open-air amphitheatres were used for mass gatherings, broadcast to every corner of the globe. These pantheons of the ancients, channelled human emotions – faith, belief and hope into the hope of the grail; the coming together of nations and emerging as the champions of the world.

The congregation met in the time honoured clash between good and evil, the congregation’s tribal colours a testament to the devotion of their choosing. This phenomena crossed global political and social boundaries, in the city of Rangoon, monks remains have been found whose devotion was clearly marked by the Brazilian shirt he was clutching.

Like the earth itself, the focus of spiritual nirvana was a pitch of green. On its altar was a football. While engaged in the mass ritual of the game, the faithful would emerge themselves in the full emotional and psychological rollercoaster. Ecstasy, sorrow, joy, frustration, pain and victory were all stops on the intercity to glory.

Further examination revealed that within these highly organised and emotional gatherings were spiritual guides who acted as a human catalyst between the Gods of victory and football. These were the Shaman, united under the swoosh and this is their story. Every four years they would meet to re-enact the tournament of the ages, with only one emerging victorious”.

Yup yup enjoy lol

Why must the good die young?

Dear Alexander McQueen,

What I’m about to say might sound a little selfish but why did you have to die before I got the opportunity to have enough money to by your stuff? I really did admire your work, especially those crazy alien shoes. They were awesome. I’m sorry you died.

Damn easy Yeezy.

According to PETA‘s Vice President, Dan Matthews, “Kanye can’t help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show. He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo.”

Damn really though? Though I don’t really condone killing animals in the name of fashion, I don’t think Kanye or the rest of us should even bother with PETA. I mean it’s no secret that PETA’s a controversal foundation so I just think they’re looking for a fight. So what does it matter what they say?

And according to Kanye it doesn’t matter what any of us say about his fashion choices. I agree with him but I think he needs to calm down a bit. Check out the post:

Yay Kanye!

To promote Karmaloop’s auctions, Kanye West and Karmaloop are auctioning off exclusive pieces signed by Kanye. You can bid on a 1-of-1 pair of Nike Air Yeezys, rare Loop Dreams T-Shirts, Glow in the Dark  and Thank You And You’re Welcome! books. I love me some Kanye and the items are cute and all but I wouldn’t waste my time bid if I was you. Why? The cost is gonna get way to high with all the crazy people in the world  for items that you probably won’t even be able to fit. But if that’s you’re kinda thing, have fun. …or her music (yeah yeah, be shocked and call me a hater later) but I do feel like this deserves a little attention because it does bring up an interesting point.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, who also happens to be the wife of Prince Charles, has denounced Bey Bey’s “Videophone” video. She said it’s trying to trigger something negative in young people today:

The Duchess of Cornwall spoke for the first time yesterday, about the way youngsters are sexualised by explicit rap videos. Camilla was taking part in a discussion with victims of sexual violence during a visit to a rape crisis center when the topic turned to how music videos affect teenagers today. She told an audience of women that children thought they could get away with things because teachers failed to punish them.

Referring to the images children are exposed to, the Duchess said: ‘A lot of those videos are terrifying. ‘I am sure they trigger a response in some of the young people. I can never understand how they can get away with making those things.’ The Duchess has avoided speaking in public on social issues until now. Her stance has been in marked contrast to Charles’ first wife, Diana, Princess of Wales, who was renowned for the way in which she tackled controversial issues.

Yesterday, the Duchess made her concerns clear that youngsters are already becoming immune to such images of sex and violence. She said schools need to become involved in teaching both male and female schoolchildren ‘the value of respect for each other.’ During the discussions, the subject turned to a controversial video by pop singer Beyonce, who is particularly popular with young girls.

In the promotion for the single Video Phone, which also features the outlandish singer Lady Gaga, Beyonce provocatively dances in a series of increasingly skimpy outfits and holds a toy gun to the head of a bare-chested man who is hooded.

‘It has happened too quickly, values have changed so much,’ the Duchess said. ‘I suppose it’s peer pressure, that’s the problem. You don’t want to look like the odd one out.”

But it takes a strong person to show that they don’t approve, especially at that age. It’s a breakdown of discipline. There doesn’t seem to be any punishment for such behavior. The teachers are too kind.’

If you’re like me and haven’t even seen the video, check it out.

Actor and screenwriter, Tyler Perry, is being sued for copyright infringement of his film Diary of A Mad Black Woman.

Donna West claims that his production was a rip-off of a script she wrote titled Fantasy of a Black Woman. The script was turned into a free stage play based mainly on her life and performed in 1991. According to West, Tyler or someone else in his camp saw the play and stole her idea.

She testified in court saying that “I can’t put my play on because the stories are basically the same and nobody wants to see that again.”

Sounds a  little if-y to me but yeah..
